The 12th annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party hits Madison Square Park on June 7 and 8, with attendees getting Southern-inspired fare from the country’s top pitmasters at just $9 a plate. This year’s cookoff has 16 of the country’s top pitmasters, including Ed Mitchell from Durham, N.C.; Mike Mills from Murphysboro, Ill.; Chris Lilly from Decatur, Ala.; and hometown barbecue kings Jean-Paul Bourgeois from Blue Smoke and Charles Grund Jr. from Hill Country.
