After 10 years of outstanding work at The Modern, Marc Aumont has decided to leave his post as Pastry Chef to pursue other ventures. Marc has been an incredible asset to the restaurant since he joined our opening team at The Modern in 2004. From his critically acclaimed, much beloved dessert program to The Modern’s gorgeous chocolate cart laden with over a dozen different kinds of hand-crafted truffles, pâtes de fruit, and other confections, Marc’s contributions to the restaurant have been manifold. Marc shared his passion and incredible knowledge making him a generous and beloved mentor to all those who have had the chance to work with him. Marc’s last day will be in mid-September. Marc’s leadership has ensured that The Modern will maintain its high level of excellence as Executive Chef Abram Bissell begins his immediate search for the restaurant’s new Pastry Chef.
