Chief Marketing Officer

Marissa is the Chief Marketing Officer at Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). She is responsible for marketing and communications for USHG Restaurants, Daily Provisions, Union Square Events and Hospitality Quotient, leading a team of innovative marketers and hospitalitarians. Her strategic approach has transformed the perception of USHG from a restaurant group to that of a hospitality company. Marissa has expanded brand awareness and fueled growth of the restaurants and cafes, integrating technology and data with restaurant operations to drive revenue and enhance the guest experience. She has relaunched the leadership and development consultancy brand, Hospitality Quotient, connecting the dots of hospitality as a business differentiator in an expanding breadth of business categories. Under Marissa’s leadership, the USHG brand inspires a new generation of guests, remains a home to longtime regulars, and extends Enlightened Hospitality across industries and geographies.  

Before joining USHG, Marissa served as the Chief Brand Officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and held executive positions at leading advertising companies including BBDO, DDB, and Deutsch LA. Marissa was named one of Crain’s 2023 Notable Leaders in Advertising, Marketing & PR and 2019’s Brand Innovators Top 100 Women in Brand Marketing.  

Marissa serves on the board of The Dream Foundation. She is a graduate of Montclair State University and has lectured at Columbia Business School, New York University, and Boston University. Marissa resides in Brooklyn with her husband and 14-year-old twins.
